Vacuum Tray Dryers in Isolator

When it comes to containment for different pharmaceutical applications, such as API, formulation, or standalone use, Isovax is the brand to choose.

We have discussed the VTD isolator that we recently made for a client in this blog.

The wet mass that is transferred from the ANFD, NF, or centrifuge is dried using vacuum tray dryers, or VTDs for short. 

The VTD’s technical accessories(the receiver, the condenser and the vacuum pump) are situated outside of the isolator. The only parts of the VTD that are positioned inside the Isolator to handle the dry product mass are the doors. Under vacuum, VTD extracts the moisture from the material being processed. These systems are made to adhere to legal and industrial standards, including cGMP (current good manufacturing practice) criteria.

The following are salient characteristics and features of isolators that are integrated with vacuum tray dryers:

1. Vacuum Drying: Materials that need low temperatures to be dried, are dried using vacuum tray dryers. These dryers lower the boiling point of liquids by working under vacuum, which enables gradual drying without exposing the liquid to a lot of heat.
